Product Information

Inert First World War, No23 MKII Mills Grenade. The makers code on the body is a capital letter "B". This is believed to be a very unusual and rarely encountered maker mark and may refer to Birmingham Engineering as the manufacturer. Just visible on the base plug is the makers initials "B.E. Co" - Birmingham Engineering & Co, and date of 1917. The green band around the middle indicates an Amatol filling that was first introduced in 1915. The three red X's along each side indicates that it was waterproofed. It comes complete with rifle launching rod.
