This is an inert WWII German Sd2 bomb casing, nicknamed the "butterfly bomb". Originally this bomb had steel wings that would deploy once in the air. The bomb would have been filled with explosive and would either detonate on impact or explode if triggered by ground troops or vehicles. Thankfully this one didn't do either!!!
