An original WWII British P.I.A.T. (Projector, Infantry, Anti-Tank) anti tank projectile round. Dated 1944, it has the correct wartime markings, codes and paint. They introduce in 1942 and proved very effective when engaging German tanks and armoured vehicles. The bomb consisted of a three pound hollow charge warhead with an impact nose fuze and tail piece with enclosed flight fins. The painted red band on the top of the warhead denoted it was for used in hot or tropical conditions. The British used them against the Germany's Afrika Corps which was under Rommel's command in North Africa.
