This is a rare First World War dated US leather holster for a Colt or Smith & Wesson .38 calibre revolvers. During the Great War many US servicemen opted for revolvers as their sidearm of choice. This example has the makers initials G&K and date 1918 with A.G. below, and on the front embossed with "US" . It will also fit similar sized .38 Smith & Wesson's , Colt 38 DA New Army or Navy models revolvers. Still in remarkable good condition with its belt hoop and brass boot lace cord ring. All stitching and fasteners are in good condition.
