Rare WWI & WWII British Navy .455 Automatic Pistol Leather Holster

This is a rare WWI & WWII British naval Webley .455 Automatic pistol leather holster. It is dated 5/36 May 1936 and is broad arrow stamped. The holster will fit the Webley .455 automatic pistol and the MK6 .455 revolver. They were first issued during WWI to Royal Naval Division Officers & Royal Naval Air Service pilots and saw service and during WWII being issued to Royal Navy Officers. This example is still in superb original condition with all of its brass rivets and adjustable carry strap in tact. An unusual modification is the repositioning of the brass fastening stud. This may have been moved to make it easier or quicker to open? Under the flap is the makers mark PH ltd, broad arrow acceptance stamp with the weapon number 824.
