A Second World War MK1 Bren Gun transit chest. Originally issued for WWII this example was also used again post war. The numbers on the front are those used by British military post WWII. Remnants of green paint can been found in places. The grey paint may indicate use by the RAF or Navy. All hinges and brackets are intact and work along with both rope carry handles.
