This M1 Garand Bayonet & Scabbard was originally manufactured by AFH (American, Fork & Hoe) in 1942. During WWII the US had its stocks of 16inch M1905 bayonets shortened to 10 inches. 1942 was the first year this took place. Note the blade has a spear point with the blood channel finishing at the tip. This example was also bears the UFH (Union Fork & Hoe.) meaning it was arsenal reworked by them.  The scabbard is the correct type and was also shortened. Both bayonet & scabbard bear the correct US ordnance markings.  A lovely set and still in super condition.
