Product Information

This is an Austrian manufactured Montenegro Gasser Cavalry 5 shot revolver, circa 1880's that is chambered in a huge 11mm (obsolete calibre). The name  "Schutzmarke", this is the trade mark name only found on true Austrian made Gasser revolvers. This example also bears the Austrian "Gasser System Patent Neu Modell Wein".  The crowned 'NI" representing king Nicholas of Montenegro, and "Guss Stahl' refers to the cast steel frame. The numbers 35 appear on all major parts including the trigger guard, hammer and extractor arm etc. This model was issued to Austro-Hungarian units including their cavalry during World War I and was also privately purchased.

Chambered in an antique obsolete calibre it can be owned live without any form of license. It has a full working action and can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.

The bore and chambers are in good original condition. It is being sold as a collectors piece only.
