This is an all matching numbers American Civil War dated Colt manufactured model of 1849 pocket percussion revolver chambered in .31 calibre. The serial number 208762 dates to 1862 as the year of production. The American Civil War (12th April 1861 to 9th April 1865) saw the majority of these revolvers used during this conflict and was very popular with troops from both sides. This example has the correct "one line New York" address script on the barrel.
