An early Second World War, pre Dunkirk, Enfield No2 MKI .38 revolver. Profusely broad arrow marked, dated 1938 and with all matching numbers and its original wooden grips. They were issued to various members and units of the British armed forces during the Second World War, including the RAF and ground forces. These early war examples were among the first to see action. This revolver may well have been taken to France during the battle of France by the British Expeditionary Force (BEF) and most famously evacuations from the beaches of Dunkirk in June of 1940. A classic WWII British sidearm. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
