A superb condition WWII British Lee Enfield No5 MK1 Jungle Carbine, chambered in .303. Just visible are the manufacture, date and serial number stamps. It reads: No5 MK1 (ROF) (F) 2/45 and G4215 - Royal Ordnance Factory, Fazakerley - February 1945, serial no: G4215. The No5 saw extensive service during WWII, rumor has it that it was designed primarily for airborne use, rather than the Asian jungles for which it is most commonly associated with. No5s did see extensive use in Holland during the Battle of Arnhem being issued to British paratrooper units where many were captured. Note the armorers repair the stock , a very good indication of service use.  Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
