A very impressive Boer War era / pre WWI Webley WG model .450/455 revolver, Circa late 1880s-1890s. The retailers name is "Cox & Macpherson, Southampton", who would have originally sold this mighty revolver. It still retains much of its high gloss blued factory finish and is fitted with the much rarer early fluted cylinders. The grips are matched to the revolvers inner frame numbers. These massive revolvers were privately purchased by serving British officers and "gentleman" of the period as a personal firearm. Accompanying it is an original leather holster. Deactivated sympathetically to post 1995 specifications with a clear barrel. It can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
