Product Information

Utilizing the French 1866 designed Sword bayonet, Britain manufactured their own examples of this pattern. This one was made by C&G - Cooper & Goodman, Birmingham, below which is a British military broad arrow acceptance stamp that has been partially struck off the edge of the blade. They are much rarer than the French examples and were produced in far smaller quantities. The British also produced the Chassepot rifle that it fitted. This one has definitely seen some action and completely original and has not been over polished or cleaned. The locking spring has lost some of its tension.
