Product Information

This is a British officers 1827P sword with steel scabbard. It is marked to G.T. Whitaker of the 60th King's Royal Rifle Corps. In 1830 the regiment was changed from the 60th The Duke of York's Own Rifle Corps to The 60th (The King's Royal Rifle Corps). Army records list a 1st Lieut G.T.Whitaker as serving with the 60th in 1866 as an "Instructor of Musketry". The overall condition of the sword is still very good and original with crisp clear engravings to the blade.
